Trends Beauty was founded in 2007 to sell hair care for textured hair. Today we stock more than 40 brands for coily, curly, wavy, relaxed and straight hair, and ship Australia-wide from our store in Rocklea, Brisbane.

We started as a small distributor with roots in the Pacific. Today we sell to salons and stylists, and to everyone who does their own hair at home.

The range covers vegan, sulfate-free and silicone-free products as well as salon staples such as relaxers, hair colour and treatments.

Our founder

Joe Lai has worked in the beauty industry for more than 40 years. Joe started out in Lae, Papua New Guinea, and trained in salons in London and Hong Kong. Joe opened the first salon in 1991 and went on to build more than 15 branches in Papua New Guinea under Trends Beauty International (TBI).

What we do

We stock hair care for every texture, with a focus on coily, curly and natural hair.

We support PNG Fashion & Design Week and run the Spa Pua wellness experiences.
